writing for dollars and not pennies

I am a content writer and having under taken a huge writing goal for the month just to survive I am overwhelmed. Michele Devon the hostess of the accentuate writers board, set me straight this morning and I am eternally grateful.
My November goals for associated content were to rewrite the articles that I had written for Neowide in October and use them on ac as upfront payment articles. Michele asked me why I was doing this instead of putting them up as Display only articles. She has an extremely valid point, for the time spend rewriting 40 articles is time consuming.

I had written these 40 articles for neowide.com and after I had reached payout the company said they couldn't pay the writers. Instead, they wanted to keep all the articles for ad sense and share the profit with the writers. I do not write for pennies. This why I am sticking with my associated content, and a few other sites I write for. I need the page views on associated content. Display Only option will give me page views, which is excellent.

Not all my display only articles do well, some of them suck, but some of them totally rock and have paid me much more then any upfront payments would have. Thanks Michy for pointing out what I already knew but had forgotten in the rush to make money to support myself.

one million page views

The bulk of my freelance writing goes on at associated content, which pays upfront payments as well as performance payments based on page views. Having been there for a year and a half I have made a few thousand dollars. I enjoy it, and post there on a daily basis.

Recently I hit a million page views, which is quite exciting, as I have wanted to do it for a long time. Of the million 525, 357 have come since July 16 of this year. That is sad in a way, as it points out to me that my past writing sucks. I did not worry about getting my articles ready for the search engines. If you are struggling with page views, you need to learn SEO, which is the proper placement of key phrases that help you, get noticed by the search engines.

I finally learned that in June of this year, and a month later when I wrote a popular title I had a steamroller that continues. I have one article written after July 16 that has earned me almost $150 in page view bonuses and two articles in that time frame that have netted me over $200. That is what SEO does for you, and now you see why you should use SEO.

Got the Flu. here are some meds to help you sleep

When you have the flu, sleep aids are a great idea. You need plenty of rest and fluids that is hard when you are in pain with the aches that come with the flu so thank goodness there are sleep aids that can help. Plenty of over the counter sleep aids that help to insure a restful sleep when one has the flu.

Vicks NyQuil cold and flu luquicaps are an excellent choice. This is a name was all trust, and most of us have grown up on the Vicks products. The one ingredient in here that will help the most is a medicine called doxylamine succinate. Doxylamine succinate has a sedative effect, and this can help you get a good rest when you are battling the flu. Just pop one with a glass of water about half an hour before retiring and it will help greatly.

This is safe for adults and children over the age of twelve to use to get a better rest. This is used for children under the age of twelve under a doctor's advice only. In our home, we choose this one because I feel that it works the best. However at times it is not always possible to get it because it seems to be a popular choice.

Tylenol flu is our second choice here in my house. It is a wise choice as well. For children, as long as they weigh at least 48 pounds it is great. My granddaughter had a flu and cold so we picked this up for her. She loved the bubble gum flavor, which made it easier to take, and she slept better. Her cough quieted down a lot, which made her throat feel better. You can buy this in tablets, which melt in the child's mouth quickly, and the liquid form. It can be a parent or grandparent's best defense.

The folks at Tylenol also made an adult version that works well to help adults get the sleep they need. The tablets or capsules are both easy to take with a glass of water about half an hour before going to bed. These are non-habit forming but work well to ensure a good nights rest.

Alka Seltzer Cold plus flu is a great choice as well. The three active ingredients in here are aspirin, Chlorpheniramine and Dextromethorphan. We all know what the asprin part does, so I will tell you what the other two help with during about of the flu. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant, so it will keep the coughing at bay. Chlorpheniramine helps to stop the sneezing, watery eyes, and the leaky nose. When combined these three medicines help you feel better so you can sleep more restfully during flu season.

This works for many people but it is not one of our top choices because you have to mix it with water to drink it.
